GloFish Angelfish Care Guide
Pterophyllum scalare var. GloFish · Freshwater Fish

What GloFish Angelfish look like
GloFish Angelfish are fluorescent domestic forms of Pterophyllum scalare. They retain the tall laterally compressed body, long fins, and trailing ventral filaments of freshwater angelfish.
Behavior & temperament
Care follows standard freshwater angelfish. They need a tall warm aquarium, stable water, and tank mates that are neither tiny enough to swallow nor nippy enough to damage fins. Mature pairs may become territorial when breeding.
Diet & feeding
GloFish Angelfish are omnivorous cichlids. Feed quality cichlid flakes or pellets, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis, daphnia, and occasional vegetable-based foods.
Behind the name
Pterophyllum means wing leaf, referring to the tall fins; scalare refers to a ladder-like form.
