GloFish Danio Care Guide
Danio rerio var. GloFish · Freshwater Fish

What GloFish Danio look like
GloFish Danios are fluorescent domestic zebra danios. Their body remains slender, torpedo-shaped, and built for constant active swimming.
Behavior & temperament
Keep in groups of at least six in a covered tank with strong oxygenation and open swimming space. They are hardy and active, but they can stress slow fish and prefer cooler water than many tropical community species.
Diet & feeding
GloFish Danios are omnivores. Feed small flakes or micro pellets with daphnia, brine shrimp, mosquito larvae, bloodworms, and occasional vegetable matter.
Behind the name
Rerio is the species epithet for zebra danio; GloFish refers to the fluorescent domestic line.
