GloFish Shark Care Guide
Epalzeorhynchos frenatum var. GloFish · Freshwater Fish

What GloFish Shark look like
GloFish Sharks are fluorescent forms of the rainbow shark, Epalzeorhynchos frenatum. They keep the bottom-oriented cyprinid shark profile with a pointed snout and grazing mouth.
Behavior & temperament
Keep one per aquarium unless the system is very large. They become territorial with age, especially toward similar bottom fish. Provide caves, driftwood, open bottom territory, and robust community tank mates.
Diet & feeding
GloFish Sharks are omnivores and grazers. Feed sinking pellets, algae wafers, blanched vegetables, spirulina foods, bloodworms, brine shrimp, and other frozen foods.
Behind the name
Frenatum means bridled or marked; GloFish refers to the fluorescent retail line.
