Thai Micro Crab Care Guide
Limnopilos naninus · Freshwater Invert

What Thai Micro Crab look like
Limnopilos naninus is a minute hymenosomatid crab with a rounded body and very slender legs. Its translucent tan-gray coloration helps it disappear among moss, roots, and leaf litter.
Behavior & temperament
Thai Micro Crabs are shy, peaceful, and delicate. Keep them in small groups in mature, densely planted or mossy aquaria with shrimp-safe tank mates only. Avoid large fish, aggressive shrimp predators, strong uncovered intakes, and unstable new tanks.
Diet & feeding
Thai Micro Crabs filter-feed and pick at biofilm, microorganisms, powdered foods, crushed shrimp pellets, infusoria, and fine frozen foods. They need mature tanks with constant tiny food particles and should not be starved in sterile setups.
Behind the name
Limnopilos combines Greek roots for lake or marsh and hair; naninus means dwarf.
